Abstract
The article examines the dialectics of «Spirit» and «Materialisation» in African spiritmedia. It focuses on the gap oder cesura, which springs up between materiality an spiritual, and thus provokes specifically local aesthetics of an «in-between», of mediality. In performaing extreme movements (Jumps, ciculations) as well as in the performative transformation between the movements of the self and the other, the transforamtions of the body of the medium and the possessing spirit takes place. In this perspective, the aesthtics of the «in-between» are aethstics of movement which oscillate between the self and the other.
