Seit 2024 ist media/rep/ bereits ein Teil des FID Media, was sich bisher aber weder im Namen noch im Erscheinungsbild widergespiegelt hat. Nun erfolgt die Umbenennung in FID Media Publish und auch das Design wurde im Zuge des neuen Corporate Design überarbeitet. Inhalte, Struktur und Funktionen bleiben aber alle wie gewohnt. Abstract

Blockchain is a technology that, in peer-to-peer computing networks, connects indefinitely expandable lists of data sets by means of cryptographic processes. For the economist Jason Potts, who studies technological innovation and the transformation of knowledge orders from the perspective of evolutionary economics, blockchains are a rare occurrence: adjacent and subsequent to the state, the market, and the company, blockchains are the fourth governmental technology. As a form of decentralized bookkeeping with an automated certifying process, blockchains take on successive tasks that had previously been reserved for companies and state bureaucracies or attended to by markets. Potts discusses the transformative potential of blockchains with Vinzenz Hediger.
