Sichere Räume, reparative Kritik. Überlegungen zum Arbeiten mit verletzendem Material
Abstract
Media studies research on current topics is often confronted with the need to sift through and analyze large amounts of antisemitic, racist, misogynistic, and/or conspiracy-theoretical material. This material harbors a potential for injury which also affects the respective researchers. The article asks about possible strategies that can be used to research violent material and that allow for an effective critique of this material without the researcher becoming entangled in the negative affects and epistemologies emanating from it.
