Literaturverwaltungsprogramme und ‹Privatstile›. Ein Vorschlag zur freiwilligen Selbstkontrolle
Abstract
Adhering to style guides is an important but time-consuming aspect of writing academic papers, especially when it comes to correct citing and referencing of literature. Reference management software promises to help authors by automatically generating and formatting references and bibliographies. But the real problem is the large number of citation styles in use. Digital tools cannot be of much help in this regard. Therefore, the author proposes that German media studies commit to a single common citation style.
