Mit-Schreiben. Versuche einer kleinen medienwissenschaftlichen Empirie

Abstract

What can a media-studies empiricism be/do? Where does it lead? The text picks up two methodical constellations from the research project «Affekt, Alltag, Fernsehen» (Affect, everyday, television) – a self-produced video and a one-on-one interview – and tries to write with them, not about them. This is writing, in other words, not only as an attempt to respond to the (un)appropriate(d)ness of the Other but also as a transition to the non-interpretability of the phenomena that it itself has co-created. In these situated ecologies of the desire to know, encountering, and writing something emerges that can no longer be separated from researchers and their apparatuses, methods and techniques.
