Postdocs in Auflösung
Abstract
A working group, institutionalized before long as the “Commission for Good Work in Science” of the Society for Media Studies, has been putting to discussion since 2015 the poor working conditions of young academics at German universities. Based on this, we published demands, counterpositions, suggestions, and experiences from the perspectives of different status groups and national settings in issue numbers 14 and 15 of the Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft. We are continuing the debate with two pieces that focus on the situation of lecturers and holders of doctoral titles, jauntily called «postdocs».
