50 Jahre Hochschulbausysteme
Abstract
The late 1960s were the time of an opening of the universities. This required completely new campuses that were supposed to not only react to changing demands but also to enable architecturally their implementation. This essay analyzes what concepts of education and construction, concrete pillars and curricula, open staircases and departments have in common. Some of it is presently undergoing reconstruction, some is being phased out or torn down. This is reason enough to celebrate an anniversary of the building systems of higher education.
